Hackett London – Miami, USA

Hackett London is a global fashion powerhouse that has established itself as one of the truly iconic British brands of the past 30 years. Pixel was tasked with travelling Stateside in July to install at the brand new Hackett London store at The Adventura Mall in Miami (the third largest shopping mall in the US) to bring life to some of the brand’s fantastic content, such as this beauty showing how to make a cocktail in 90 seconds, whilst skydiving in Hackett finery: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sy-sPOHPEOc.

Utilising NEC screens, we created two distinct digital solutions: a 2×3 videowall positioned at the entrance to the changing rooms and a huge 80” cash desk landscape screen. Both of these are real eye-grabbers and large, high resolution canvases for Hackett to brand the internal space as required.

Pret a Manger – New York, USA

The focus for this project was on the menu boards for Pret a Manger in the infamous Penn Station. To create a sandwich/coffee shop that fits in with New York’s young, modern style, we used beautiful wooden chevron boards to project the menu onto. Two boards were used in order to display Pret’s wide range of products, which look fantastic side-by-side!

To project the menu onto the boards, we installed two 5000 Lumen NEC Laser Projectors, which are mounted and concealed within a bulkhead, giving them a seamless, sleek finish. Also, a clock is projected onto one of the boards which is great for those early-morning coffee runs before work!

Charlotte Tilbury – Dubai and Kuwait, Middle East

Our primary involvement here was consulting on appropriate kit and a support partner on installs, both of which brought out the puzzle-solving abilities in our client services and logistics teams.

The brief for this project involved us identifying screens that would best-fit planned fit-out in the Charlotte Tilbury stores, which was a bit of a brainteaser at times, especially considering over 40 screens were used, ranging from fairly standard 40” to 98” behemoths. A number of the screens are built with interactive capabilities, allowing customers to engage with the brand and explore the range of products on offer in a more personal manner.

TK MAXX – Europe

TJX Europe approached Pixel in 2016 looking for a digital signage platform for their European estate to be managed centrally from the UK, working in partnership with Samsung as the hardware supplier and SCALA for the CMS. Now in 5 countries, with close to 100 stores within the digital estate from Northern Ireland to Poland, setups consist of the proven format of behind-the-cashier-desk screens along with hi-bright SOC displays in high street stores.

In addition, flagship stores in major capital cities play host to supersized LED installations, such as a 3mm pitch, 2-sided store front in Vienna and a 10-metre-high LED wall in Munich. With TK Maxx being a new brand and retail concept of discounted clothing in European markets, it was important to hit the market hard. So, we helped in delivering out-of-home creative advertising across digital billboards and displays on the high street and train stations.

If we had much more space to write, we would also mention our work with Urban Decay in Paris, and with NARS for their venture in Rome! Hopefully we will have more opportunities to work abroad this year, as we thoroughly enjoy the challenge!
