Another fresh face brings another fresh blog! Joining our research and client services team, coming straight out of a masters degree in consumer psychology with business, is Andy!
Name: Andy Porter
Position at Pixel: Research and Client Services Executive
Time at Pixel: 4 ½ weeks (I’m one of the Pixel babies!)
Before joining Pixel, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had? Technically not a job, but I used to be a dancer in professional pantomimes and an actor in amateur dramatics.
How was your first day at Pixel? My first day was great! Pixel’s managing director, head of research and myself ventured to London for a meeting with a high-profile client. Thankfully I wasn’t relied upon much, it was more of a learning experience. I wasn’t so much thrown in at the deep end, I was more provided with a lilo and was allowed to float.
What’s your favourite line from a movie? Earn this. (Saving Private Ryan)
If you were stuck on a desert island, what three items would you want with you? To be honest, I’d accept my fate, so I would want a fully-charged iPod classic with all of my favourite songs, Bose Quiet Comfort 35’s, and a deck chair.
What is your worst habit (that you are willing to admit to)? According to my partner it’s biting my toe nails… but I don’t see anything wrong with that!
What’s the best TV show or film you’ve seen this year? Stranger Things.
Who is your celebrity crush? Jennifer Aniston. She’s been my celebrity crush since Friends!
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be and why? Chicago, Illinois. I’ve been obsessed with the USA since I was roughly 15. I have visited over 10 times, been to 20 different states, and probably have more friends there than I do in the UK. Chicago, to me, is the place to be. It is an amazing city with fantastic architecture, not to mention most of my favourite sports teams originate there… GO BLACKHAWKS!
What is your most embarrassing moment to date? Soiling myself at a sleepover and my friends’ mam having to bath me (I was 9).
